DPF is made of silicon carbide (SIC) and coated with noble metal. Hydrocarbons (HC) are designed to reduce Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions and collect particles from engine exhaust gases to minimize the release of soot into the air. Soot particles accumulate in the ducts of the coated diesel filter and burn at regular intervals to prevent the filter from clogging.
